MedTech Innovation Expo 2017
28 April 2017
Trauma HTC exhibited at the MedTech Innovation Expo 2017 at Coventry Ricoh Arena on April 26th and 27th, in partnership with ERDF Innovation Engine 2 and ERDF Medical Devices Testing and Evaluation Centre (MD-TEC). Collectively, the teams represented the Institute of Translational Medicine and University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust Research, Development and Innovation to engage with industry, academia and the public in research.
The Expo was the most successful yet, seeing almost 2,000 attendees from 22 different countries visit the Ricoh Arena to speak to over 150 exhibitors, including Trauma HTC. Exhibitors included Med-Tech SMEs, design consultancy firms, 3D-printing companies and research infrastructure including the NIHR Office for Clinical Research Infrastructure (NOCRI).
Trauma HTC had the pleasure of meeting many new SMEs and will be following up to discuss potential opportunities for collaboration. Depending on the outcome for the MedTech and In vitro diagnostics Co-operatives (MICs), the team hope to attend the 2018 MedTech expo for further engagement with both the public and industry.
